Blog post 1: Why you chose this career?

Hi, welcome to my blog. 馃槉

When I was a child I wanted to be a forensic athropologist, because I really liked the main character in a series. The main character was a forensic anthropologist and I found that she was very interesting and cool.

When I was in high school I star to think about what I wanted to do in the future. I think in many options. I wanted to be a comercial engineer, because I like the economy part about that degree, but not like the part of business administration, so I wasn´t sure about studying that. I also thought about studying pedagogy in history, because history was my favorite subject in high school, but i wasn´t sure either. So when I graduated from high school I took a sabbatical year, where I looked for other careers that would be more interesting to me. So I decided to study sociology because has what I wanted in history and it is very interesting how society evolves by multiple factors or how societies have features that come from more older societies.

The college experience has been stressful, because is so hard focus in classes and being in front of the computer all day is not fun. However, I have meet some very nice and friendly people in my career. Their made this college experience much better and less stressful

I would like, after graduating of college, to work in the area of research and publishing. Or i would like to specialize more in my career, like getting a master´s degree or a doctorate. I feel that experience would be very interesting.

  3. Taking a sabbatical year can be such a good idea. I think it can be so difficult to make such a big decision about what to study. Taking a break can give you some time and perspective.
